Jennifer Jacoby - Owner & Trainer
Jennifer has successfully competed in the open show-jumping classes for over 25 years. She has produced numerous top riders and horses in both show-jumping and equitation, many of them being selected for Gauteng and SANESA teams.
Jennifer has the ability to develop riders' skills and to coach them to achieve their riding goals. Having produced many horses to top level competition, she is also able to assist riders with producing their own horses.
Debbie Jackson - Dressage Trainer
Debbie is the dressage coach at Aragon Stables. She brings passion and commitment to detail to her lessons.
Her clients are doing extremely well at prelim, novice, elementary and medium.
Andrew Salmon - Trainer
Andrew has more than 20 years teaching experience. He inspires the love of riding in his students and is excellent in building confidence.
His correct training of riding sets, riders up to succeed in all the disciplines.
Jacques Els - Trainer
Jacques has been riding for 17 years. He has recently graduated with a degree in Equine Science. His lessons are both fun and instructive.
He is a passionate coach and encourages his riders to reach their potential.
Moses - Stable Manager
Moses has a wealth of horse related knowledge and experience. He has worked under the guidance of Jennifer Jacoby and looks after the horses, staff, riders as well as the maintenance around the yard.
Dedicated horse enthusiast with over twenty years’ experience in caring for our horses.
Grooms
Our groom’s primary responsibility is the maintenance of the yard, stables, the feeding routines, and any general horse care duties.
Our trusted grooming staff are hand-picked and have been employed for many years. They all live on the property and are highly skilled equine professionals who care for their animals and also their riders.
What We Offer

Lessons
We offer top quality care and all inclusive livery service. Every horse is treated as an individual with their unique requirements catered for.
Livery includes the following:
- Individual feeding plan 2 - 5 meals a day (All brands and percentage are available based on requirements)
- Large airy stables with deep dust free shavings. (Alternative bedding for horses with allergies by arrangement)
- Horses are out all day in grass paddocks, on their own or in small harmonious herds between 2 - 4 horses.
- No grass levy, as necessary we feed additional high quality erogrostis in the paddocks in winter.
- Knowledgeable and helpful grooms, with a maximum 1 groom to 6 horses ratio.
- Fly and Midge control program

- Solarium
- Basic medical care
- Plaiting and show preparation
- On call Vet and Farrier
- 24 Hour supervision

Lessons
At Aragon Stables, our aim is to help you achieve your dreams! Whether you have never ridden before, or if you want to compete at the highest levels of competition, we can help you.
Group lessons are kept to a maximum of 4 people to ensure you get individual attention. Safety is paramount, and you will never be pushed beyond your capabilities. Lessons are catered around your needs!
If you are learning to ride, or want to ride but you don't have your own horse, we have school ponies and horses to suit your level of experience. Our school horses receive the same level of care as our livery clients and we take great care to ensure that they are not overworked or stale.
Advanced riding lessons for clients with their own horses are also available. Horses and riders are taught the correct techniques needed to improve. We have produced numerous horses, ponies and riders to the top levels of show jumping, equitation and dressage. Gymnastics, courses, jump offs and show preparation are all part of every day tuition so that riders are able to jump confidently and improve their skills.

Fun filled pony camps are offered during school holidays.
Children have the opportunity to learn invaluable horse care skills, grooming, tacking and untacking, feeding & more.
All these skills learnt on camp are important for developing confidence in the rider. Included are games, stalk the lantern, apple dunking with friends & their ponies….
